Mixed Media Style |
The furniture items shown on this page are referred to as mixed media pieces since they incorporate solid lumber construction together with other materials such as ceramic tile, marble, granite, glass, metal, etc. By carefully combining selected species of lumber and veneer with complementary or contrasting media colors, striking results can be achieved. In addition to the design opportunities of mixed media furniture, there is also an important functional advantage as well. When used in table tops, media such as stone or tile provides a much more durable and moisture resistant surface.
