Description

The Adirondack table has been designed to complement the lines of the Adirondack chair.  The top of table is shaped to mirror the contours of the back slats on the chair.  The photos above shows a straight-leg version of the table, which is available in a small (shown) and a large size (see dimensions below).  The table is also available in a curved-leg version, which matches the design elements of the chair even further (see photo on the Cedar Adirondack Table page).  The curved-leg table is available in the large size only.

As with the Adirondack chairs, the table is assembled with water-proof exterior glue AND solid (not plated) stainless steel screws, which will never corrode or cause black streaks in the wood like other fasteners.  You can elect to leave the ipe lumber untreated, which will weather over time into a nice silver-grey patina.  If you would like to retain the dark chocolate brown appearance of the ipe, you can elect to add an exterior spar varnish finish to the table.  This finish greatly extends the original appearance of the ipe wood, although it should be recoated with varnish approximately every 5 years, depending on exposure to the elements.  If you'd like to learn more about ipe lumber and it's benefits, please click here.
