I've dubbed this walnut night stand "Triple-S" due to the curved, tapered shape of the legs. Three complete S-curves are traversed from the top to the bottom of these stylized cabriole legs. The graceful curves on the legs are carried onto all other components of the night stand, including the top, the lower shelf, and the aprons. The night stand also includes a solid maple, dovetailed drawer box carefully integrated into the apron.
Due to it's contemporary design, no hardware is used to adorn this night stand. All of the black walnut lumber used in the table shown in the above photos was obtained from one of the Tate House mansion walnut logs. Notice the consistent color and figured grain of the naturally finished walnut in the close-up photos. Other wood species can also be selected when commissioning this table.
