This maple chest of drawers is one of the earliest pieces that I made. The case and drawer fronts are all solid lumber construction and the drawer boxes are fully dovetailed. The top drawer front has been subdivided to give the look of a smaller set of 4 drawers. The base of the chest has a scalloped front design, with matching openings on the side, visually lifting the bulk of the chest off the floor. A honey amber finish has been applied to the sugar maple lumber and antiqued brass drawer pulls were installed to complete the look. It's classical lines and styling provide the chance to use almost any wood species in building this chest.
46" tall, 34" wide, and 21" deep. Drawers are approximately 9" deep.
